What Information Do We Collect
Personal Information. HelpingTown requires each customer to provide us with personal information (collectively "Personally Identifiable Information") to access and use HelpingTown products and services. Personally Identifiable Information is captured only when a visitor accesses Online Services, or speaks on the phone with a HelpingTown employee, and willingly discloses that information. Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, credit card or other billing information, sex, email address and home and business postal addresses. We use your Personal Information mainly to provide the Services and administer your inquiries.
We also collect the other information that you provide as part of registration and the administration and personalization of your profile webpage (e.g., without limitation, zip code (on its own) and individual preferences) ("Non-Identifying Information").
Organization/Corporation Information. HelpingTown requires each organization or corporation to provide us with the organization/corporate level information to access and use HelpingTown products and services via online services or phone with a HelpingTown employee. Organization/Corporation information includes, but is not limited to, your name, mission statement, Tax ID/EIN, affiliations, name of the contact person, phone number, fax, website, credit card or other billing information, email address and business postal address.
We also collect Volunteer Opportunity Information such as Opportunity Title, Contact Persons details (such as name, email, etc.), Volunteer Type, Location Information (Street address or "Virtual" Desgination), Date, Time, Commitment Information, Volunteer Age, Group Size, Required Skills and anything else applicable to the opportunity.
Log Data. When you use the Services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website or online service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Site, pages of our Site that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Site, access times and dates, and other statistics. No Personally Identifiable Information is revealed in this process. We may use this information to monitor and analyze use of the Site and the Services and for the Site's technical administration, to increase our Site's functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor it to our visitors' needs.

How Do We Use Your Information
Calls/Electronic Communications. The information we collect is used for administering our business activities. HelpingTown may monitor and record phone conversations or email communications between you and HelpingTown employees for training and quality assurance purposes. We may receive a confirmation when you open or click on content in an email from us, which helps us make our communications to you more useful and interesting. We may also use your Personal Information to contact you with The HelpingTown newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive email from HelpingTown, you may unsubscribe from our mailing list on any of the emails we send.

Emailing Via a HelpingTown Account
As part of the Service, registered users may communicate with other registered users through use of their accounts. Where a registered user has selected the option of adding one or more email addresses to an online form, the message they create in the corresponding template will be sent from The HelpingTown to those email addresses on their behalf.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
HelpingTown Users. In addition to your username, we will display your Personal or Organization/Corporation Information in your profile page and elsewhere on the Site or via the Services according to the preferences you set in your account. In addition, any comments or submissions that you post to the Site or via Services may be publicly available. Any information you choose to provide should reflect how much you want other users to know about you. We recommend that you guard your anonymity and sensitive information and we encourage HelpingTown users to think carefully about what information about themselves they disclose in their comments or submissions.
To the extent that HelpingTown volunteers have provided any information to us through our Website regarding skills, Volunteer or referral history, we may share your Information with the applicable Volunteer recruiter. We may display any referrals or comments towards your service or project on the website and maybe visible by any visitors of the website.

We may contract with various third parties who help us provide, maintain and improve the Website and the services we provide and the services and products we offer and sell and such third parties may have access to your personal information in order to perform their services. For example, we may use a third party to process payments made to us, and may subcontract out production, fulfillment, analytics, reporting or other operations. We may contract with third party contractors to help us manage, monitor and optimize our Website and the services and products we offer and sell. In order to Safeguard your information to help protect you from identity theft and the practice currently known as "phishing", we do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, your account ID, login password, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. Your access to some services and content is password protected. We advise that you do not disclose your password to anyone. This website does not provide services or sell products to children under the age of 13. If you are under 18, you may use this website only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will immediately delete such information from our files.
How You Can Review Or Correct Your Information
You may review and make changes to all of your Information that we collect and maintain online by simply inputting your username and password where indicated on the Web site. Once you login in, you may make any changes or correct factual errors in your account by changing the information on your login page. This option is available 24 hours a day to better safeguard your Information, subject to downtime for standard maintenance and support. You do not need to contact us to access your record or to make any changes.
